WESTERN, KY. - Hello again folks! I hope you are having a blessed week. Turkey season has not been this tough in about six years.
We had the same weather at that time and the birds would not gobble after hitting the ground. Also, we lost a lot of young turkeys that season due to a pour hatching rate. I am laying down my gun this weekend and picking up my fishing gear.
Sportsmen for Christ is having a benefit fishing tournament on Saturday the 28th. We will be launching at 6:30 am at Reddens boat dock on Lake Beshear and ending at 2:00pm. We are expecting about forty boats. The entry fee is $40 a boat and $10 a person for the big bass pot. There is a $3 dock fee at redden's boat dock. The money raised will help introduce folks into God's Great Outdoors.
If you can't fish and would like to contribute to our organization, you can send checks payable to Sportsmen for Christ. We hope to see you there on Saturday. Registration will start at 5:15 am Saturday.
