HOPKINS COUNTY, KY – Faith Outdoors is a non-profit organization associated with Faith Missionary Baptist Church. Our mission is Connecting people to Christ through the Great Outdoors.
This year Faith Outdoors celebrates their 3rd year of the Fishing with Faith fishing tournament, set for May 12. Many men, women, and children come together for some family fishing time and good Christian fellowship. This time together not only strengthens their family values but also their belief in the Lord.
The event will start at 7 a.m. and will continue until 11 a.m. at the Madisonville City Park. The first 75 kids from the ages of 2 to 12 that sign up will receive a free door prize. Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife will also be joining us and helping out. They will have extra fishing poles for those that don’t have a fishing pole to use. Kids must be accompanied by an adult who can sign a release form. All kids are welcome to fish and take part in the festivals. There will be plaques given away for biggest and smallest fish caught at the end of the day. There will be lunch provided free of charge. We ask those coming to enjoy the day to PLEASE follow the signs into the park and park your vehicles in the parking lot next to the swimming pool.
We would like to send out a sincere THANK YOU to the City of Madisonville for their support and allowing us to use their property to hold our event. We would like to also THANK Southbend Tackle for making it possible for us to be able to give away such a wonderful gift to these children. We would also like to say THANKS to our Kentucky Department of fish and wildlife for lending a hand and providing their services.
