Welcome to Surfky's electric car vehicle index. Our database shows the total yearly sales of electric vehicles in the United States segmented by state. The data has been compiled using the most up-to-date information from government entities, nonprofit organizations, and private sources dedicated to tracking the sales and new registrations of EVs nationwide. Some of our sources include the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDT) and the California Energy Commission (CEC), among others.

In the year 2020, there were a total of 314,237 electric vehicles sold in the United States. That number decreased 1.18% from the previous year.
