ksp news 300CROFTON, Ky. (2/12/18) — A Hopkinsville teen allegedly hot rodding a pickup truck ended in his arrest.

According to a Kentucky State Police Post 2 report, Trooper Hunter Carroll witnessed the driver pull out of Huck’s gas station in a reckless manner Saturday night.

When the trooper attempted to stop the vehicle, 18-year-old Jordan Shepherd continued west along Crofton Dawson Road, KSP reported. The brief pursuit ended after Shepherd lost control, went through a ditch and into a residential yard and back onto the road. The driver caused damage to the property.

Shepherd was charged with speeding 20 mph over the limit, reckless driving, improper start, first-degree fleeing or evading police, second-degree wanton endangerment and third-degree criminal mischief.
