HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. — Hopkinsville Community College officials recently received notification that the college has achieved rankings in "Best Community Colleges" by WalletHub.
HCC ranked 24th in a tie with Columbia-Greene Community College in the "Best Community College in the U.S." list and second in the state of Kentucky.
“We are excited to be recognized for the good work that is being done at HCC,” said HCC President Alissa Young. “This type of national survey brings to light the importance and value of community colleges overall. At HCC, we know the incredible value of our education and training, but we want everyone to know. We want our community members to know that they can get a life-changing education at a great value right here in their own backyard."
WalletHub reviewed the 715 community colleges that are members of the American Association of Community Colleges. It ranked them based on cost and financing, education outcomes and career outcomes using 17 measurements that applied to those categories. The data set ranges from the cost of in-state tuition and fees to student-faculty ratio to graduation rate.
