Jackson BergantMORTONS GAP, Ky. (9/7/17) — Hopkins County Central junior Jackson Bergant is settling in as the Storm's starting quarterback. Bergant is already on pace to pass for over 2,000 yards in the 2017 season.

Through three games, Bergant has completed 64 of 121 pass attempts for 665 yards and seven touchdowns. Bergant has thrown 10 interceptions after having six passes picked off in a loss to rival Muhlenberg County in Week 2. Muhlenberg County outlasted the visiting Storm 21-15 on Saturday.

Bergant has completed passes to nine different teammates. Four Hopkins County Central players boast over 100 receiving yards apiece.

A newcomer to the starting role for the Storm, Bergant passed for 279 yards and five touchdowns in the Storm's 61-6 season-opening win over Webster County.

Through its first three games, Hopkins County Central is 1-2.

Bergant will have a chance to add to his passing totals when Hopkins County Central visits Todd County Central on Friday night.
