Madisonville North Hopkins MaroonsHOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (10/1/17) — Jariah Hightower and Aaron Miller combined to rush for 270 yards and three touchdowns as Madisonville-North Hopkins defeated host Hopkinsville 35-20 in a Class 4A, District 1 football game on Friday night.

With the win, Madisonville-North Hopkins improved to 5-2 overall and 3-0 in Class 4A, District 1.

Hopkinsville dropped to 1-5 overall and 0-1 in the district with the loss.

Hightower led Madisonville-North Hopkins offensively, rushing 30 times for 156 yards and one touchdown. Miller rushed 22 times for 114 yards and two touchdowns as the Maroons prevailed.

Quarterback Hayden Reynolds paced Madisonville-North Hopkins through the air, completing 3-of-10 passes for 45 yards and one touchdown. Reynolds threw one interception in the Maroons' victory.

Miller led Madisonville-North Hopkins in receiving, reeling in one reception for a 37-yard touchdown.

Defensively for Madisonville-North Hopkins, James Gilbert recorded two interceptions.
