Henderson County LogoGREENVILLE, Ky. (10/1/17) — Visiting Henderson County pulled away to defeat Muhlenberg County 38-8 in a Class 6A, District 1 football game on Friday night.

With the win, Henderson County improved to 3-4 overall and 2-0 in Class 6A, District 1.

Muhlenberg County dropped to 2-4 overall and 0-1 in the district with the loss.

Henderson County scored first and never trailed. The Colonels blanked Muhlenberg County 24-0 in the first quarter then carried a 31-0 lead into halftime.

Dominant Henderson County led 38-0 at the conclusion of the third quarter.

Helping to lead Henderson County to the win, quarterback Garrett Greenwell completed 9-of-13 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns.

Gregory scored Muhlenberg County's lone touchdown on a 3-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Henderson County is scheduled to host McCracken County on Friday, Oct. 6. That same day, Muhlenberg County is slated to visit Daviess County.
