maroons soccerballHOPKINSVILLE (10/6/17) — Will McClure scored three goals and distributed two assists to lead Madisonville-North Hopkins past Christian County 9-2 in a boys' high school soccer regular-season finale on Thursday.

With the win, Madisonville-North Hopkins improved to 8-8-1.

Christian County dropped to 5-13-3 with the loss.

Longtime rivals, Madisonville-North Hopkins and Christian County hail from neighboring districts.

Following McClure in the Madisonville-North Hopkins scoring column, Dalton Daves and Jeshua DeLeon netted two goals apiece.

Hayden Space and Ethan Tedder rounded out the Madisonville-North Hopkins individual scoring, netting one goal apiece for the Maroons.

DeLeon, Space, Tedder, Hayden Terry and Tate Yong delivered one assist apiece for Madisonville-North Hopkins in the convincing victory.

Defensively for Madisonville-North Hopkins, Alex Brooks and Will Sanderson split time at the goalkeeper position.

Offensively for Christian County, Kenton Lancaster and Ben Settle scored one goal apiece. Aiding the Christian County offensive attack, Luis Macario provided an assist on one of the Colonels' two goals.
