McLean CountyLEITCHFIELD, Ky. (12/16/17) — Whitley Patterson scored a game-high 20 points to push McLean County past host Grayson County 51-43 in a girls' high school basketball game on Friday night.

Familiar foes, McLean County and Grayson County are Third Region rivals. 

McLean County, which claimed its sixth straight victory, improved to 7-2 with the win.

With the loss, Grayson County slipped to 2-4.

Grayson County led 21-16 at halftime. But McLean County started strong in the second half, outscoring homestanding Grayson County 16-9 in the third period.

Patterson was the only McLean County scorer to reach double figures, Kassidy Daugherty and Madison Miller added seven points apiece for the Lady Cougars.

Hannah Saltsman scored 16 points to lead Grayson County. Finishing directly behind Saltsman in the Grayson County scoring column, Kenzie Renfrow added 15 points for the host team.
