football 2HENDERSON, Ky. (1/8/18) — Henderson County head coach Josh Boston has been selected to serve as an assistant coach for the Kentucky team in the 2018 Food City Border Bowl.

Conner head coach coach David Trosper has been tabbed to guide the Kentucky team as its head coach in the annual all-star high school football game.

Under Boston's direction, Henderson County, which claimed a win over Meade County in the postseason, reached the second round of the 2017 Class 6A State Playoffs. The Colonels concluded the 2017 season 5-7.

In addition to Boston, the additional assistant coaches on the Kentucky staff are Jason Chappell (Whitley County), Clay Clevenger (Danville), Jerry Herron (Williamsburg), Mark Peach (Anderson County), Jamie Reed (South Oldham), Shawn Thompson (Wayne County) and Eric Turner (Lloyd Memorial).

The 2018 Food City Border Bowl is slated to be held at Sevier County High School in Sevierville, Tenn. on Saturday, Jan. 18.
