Apollo E GalsOWENSBORO, Ky. (1/10/18) — Keisha Mattingly scored a game-high 18 points to lead Apollo past visiting Hopkins County Central 64-35 in a mid-season girls' high school basketball game on Tuesday night.

With the win, Apollo improved to 8-7.

Hopkins County Central slipped to 9-9 with the loss.

The Lady Storm were limited throughout the contest. In a dominant performance, Apollo forced Hopkins County Central to play from behind. 

Apollo shot 37.3 percent (22-of-59) from the field. The E-Gals were 1-of-7 from 3-point range.

Apollo shot 61.3 percent (19-of-31) from the free throw line.

Micah Lindsey and Lexi Shadowen scored 13 points apiece and Braelyn Rhodes netted 11 points as host Apollo prevailed.

KeKe Ikeard paced Hopkins County Central with 18 points, sharing game-high scoring honors with Apollo's Mattingly. Ikeard was the only Hopkins County Central player to reach double figures in the scoring column.
