Muhlenberg County Lady Mustangs HoopsBOWLING GREEN, Ky. (1/12/18) — Muhlenberg County's Raegan Blackburn and Erica Cary scored 17 points apiece but it wasn't enough to lift the Lady Mustangs as host South Warren used a 25-12 run in the second quarter to pull away to win 74-52 in a girls' high school basketball game on Thursday night.

With the loss, Muhlenberg County dropped to 13-6.

South Warren improved to 16-2 with the win.

Blackburn scored the 1,500th point of her high school career during the Lady Mustangs' latest outing. 

South Warren, the current frontrunner in the Fourth Region, led Muhlenberg County 38-23 at halftime and outscored the Lady Mustangs 21-11 in the third quarter.

Jordan McDonald paced South Warren with a game-high 24 points.

Peyton Ferry scored 14 points and Amaya Lasley added 12 points for the Spartans.
