Muhlenberg County Lady Mustangs HoopsMORGANTOWN, Ky. (2/11/18) — Erica Cary scored a game-high 22 points to lead Muhlenberg County past host Butler County 83-53 in a girls' high school basketball game on Saturday night.

Muhlenberg County, under the direction of head coach Mike Harper, claimed its 20th win in the 2017-18 season.

With the win, Muhlenberg County improved to 20-8.

Butler County stumbled to 5-18 with the loss.

The Lady Mustangs took control early, outscoring Butler County 26-14 in the first quarter. Muhlenberg County eventually doubled up Butler County 50-25 in the first half.

Accompanying Cary in double figures for the Lady Mustangs, Raegan Blackburn scored 17 points and Elizabeth Joines posted 16 points.

Maddie Cardwell led Butler County with 15 points. Cardwell was the only Butler County player to reach double figures in the scoring column. Narrowly missing double figures for the Lady Bears, Hannah Chaney and Maddy Murphy chipped in nine points apiece.
