Ohio County EaglesHARTFORD, Ky. (2/13/18) — Ohio County started strong but couldn't maintain any momentum as visiting Caldwell County heated up after halftime and went on to win 67-49 in a late-season girls' high school basketball game on Monday night.

With the loss, Ohio County dropped to 5-22.

Caldwell County improved to 13-11 with the win.

After outscoring Caldwell County 16-10 in the first quarter and leading 25-21 at halftime, Ohio County struggled following the intermission period. Caldwell County outscored the Lady Eagles 46-24 in the second half.

Bella McConnell led Caldwell County with a game-high 25 points. Caldwell County featured fur scorers in double figures, with Mejah Hollowell and Jacey Jaggers adding 12 points apiece and Jada Boyd contributing 10 points.

Kelsey Kennedy was the only Ohio County player to reach double figures in the scoring column. Kennedy led the Lady Eagles with 17 points.

Kate Edge chipped in eight points for Ohio County in the loss.
