osoOWENSBORO, Ky. (1/10/18) — Troy Quinn and the Owensboro Symphony's Shakespeare In Love "Date Night" planned for the community begins with Behind The Music with Troy Quinn at 6:15 p.m. in Cannon Hall prior to the 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13 symphony concert.

"Behind the Music" gives patrons the opportunity to hear a bit about what to expect to experience during the concert." said Quinn. "This will be a great evening of film, popular and classical music, featuring something for everyone."

"Date Night doesn't have to end after the Symphony's performance." said Sara Jackson, director of marketing for the Owensboro Symphony.  "For those interested in continuing their evening after the Symphony performance, patrons are encouraged to join Troy Quinn and the Lacy Jean Trio for a little something different at CYO Brewing."

Lacy Jean, long-time violinist with the Owensboro Symphony and her trio will be performing an eclectic blend of everything from folk to bluegrass to jazz - around the corner from the concert hall at CYO Brewing, located at 119 East Second Street.

Lacy Jean is a 1993 alum of the Owensboro Symphony Youth Orchestra and graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School. She studied violin performance at the University of Louisville, but finishing her degree lost its luster when she began receiving invitations to play with professional orchestras throughout the United States.

“I traveled a lot early in my career because it was great fun and decent money. I just love to play," she said.

In addition to classical violinist, Lacy Jean is a fiddler, plays the guitar and mandolin and sings.

"Stop by and bring your date,” said Drew Mitchell, CYO Brewing owner. “We look forward to welcoming Troy Quinn and Symphony patrons to CYO Brewing on Saturday night. We will have great music and complimentary Bourbon Beer Cheese featuring Alltech's KY Bourbon Barrel Ale, Damascene Salsa, featuring Tin Man's Damascene and IPA Guacamole featuring West Sixth's IPA."
