dcps kids first colorDAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (2/13/18) — All-Pro Dads groups from Sorgho, Tamarack and Burns elementary schools – and their kids – will come together from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Elite Air for an evening of fun and celebration. Elite Air is located at 606 Salem Drive and features more than 75 trampolines, including its famous angled wall trampolines.
More than 240 fathers/positive male role models and kids have registered for this event, which will feature fun with trampolines, inflatables, obstacle courses and much more in an environment that encourages positive interactions between parents and children.
Several DCPS elementary schools have implemented chapters of All-Pro Dads, a national organization that promotes the importance of having a positive male role model in children’s lives. Groups meet every month as dads have breakfast with their kids at school and share something about their son or daughter that makes them proud.
“All-Pro Dads is wonderful,” said Christina Dalton, who serves as Family Resource Center coordinator at Burns Elementary School. “This is one of the best programs I’ve ever seen for building strong relationships between men and the children they care about. There is nothing more priceless to a child than time spent with Dad or the positive male role models in their lives.”
