HENDERSON, Ky. (1/22/18) — The city of Henderson is experiencing a water main break along U.S. 60/South Green Street near the intersection of Dixon Street and Jefferson streets, state highway officials reported.

Excavations for repair work will require the southbound lanes of South Green Street to be blocked, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Spokesman Keith Todd said. This is along U.S. 60/South Green Street just south of the downtown area near the Cancun Mexican Restaurant and Dodge's Convenience Store.

There will be no marked detour. However, southbound traffic on South Green Street can get around this blockage via side streets.

The city of Henderson hopes to have repairs completed before the morning commute Tuesday, Todd reported. Caution is required in this area overnight as crews work to make repairs.

Timely traffic advisories for the 11 counties of KYTC Highway District 2 are available by going to www.facebook.com/kytcdistrict2. Navigate traffic with KYTC at goky.ky.gov and at WAZE.com or via the WAZE App.
