Morgan BHENDERSON, Ky. (2/18/18) — Henderson County Sheriff’s Office reported seizing a large amount of cash along with items believed to be illegal drugs at a motel room along U.S. 41 early this morning.

Deputies went to True Vine Inn at 3 a.m. on a complaint about individuals going in and out of a room though the evening, according to the report. Two men were seen inside the room as deputies knocked on the door. One man ran into the bathroom before answering the door.

HCSO reported smelling marijuana and proceeded to investigate, finding a plastic bag believed to contain marijuana floating atop commode water that included a baggie with a white crystal substance. In addition, deputies seized several paraphernalia items from the room.

Morgan was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine-equal or greater than 2 grams), possession of marijuana, tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear in court on an unrelated charge.

He was listed as being held in Henderson County Jail this afternoon on $2,067.50 cash bond.
