henderson Police logo 2015HENDERSON, Ky. (3/12/18) — Henderson Police Department reported its officers have responded to three non-injury accidents and assisted two motorists in the city limits since snow began blanketing the area Sunday evening.

HPD Public Information Officer Jennifer Richmond said this morning that roads are “still icy and slick in many areas.”

State highway crews have retreated several trouble spots upon HPD’s request.

Richmond reported rising temperatures would help melt snow, but they are expected to drop below freezing again tonight and precipitation on surfaces would likely refreeze.

HPD asks that drivers used caution throughout the day and plan for icy conditions tonight and early Tuesday.
