WynonnaHENDERSON, Ky. (5/14/19) — Henderson Area Arts Alliance announced the 2019-20 season of events during a special Sneak Preview event Monday.

Fulfilling the arts organization’s mission to provide quality arts experience to all, the selections include a range of musical performers including Wynonna and The Big Noise, a Tony-award winning musical, award-winning dance troupe and a famed Chicago comedy touring group.

Season tickets and options for flexible Pick 3 ticket packages are on sale now for current season ticket holders. New season ticket package sales begin June 17, the arts alliance reported. Single tickets will go on sale July 8 at haaa.org.

"We're thrilled to announce the new season and hope you will join us as we celebrate the arts," director Alex Caudill said. "The season is diverse, inspiring, and promises to be the best yet. We encourage our patrons to renew or purchase tickets early to ensure they have the best seats at the best discount. Thank you to all our sponsors and patrons who came to the wonderful Sneak Preview event."

The Color Purple, The Musical

This 2016 Tony award-winner, based on the 1982 novel of the same name by Alice Walker, follows the journey of Celie, an African-American woman in the American South from the early to mid-20th century.

During Monday's event, David Dixon and Donald Wathen were each awarded HAAA's 2019 Outstanding Service Award, and the following organizations were presented with grants from HAAA:
