Litttle 7 27HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (7/28/17) — Eight young couples charmed those gathered at the Little Miss and Mister Hopkins County Fair pageant held Thursday night.

Laken Wyatt and Knox Cavanaugh captured the title and will represent Hopkins County in Louisville at the Kentucky State Fair Pageant in August.

First runner-up was Hadley Markham and KB McCalister.

The king and queen were sponsored by Cavanaugh Pool, Spa and Patio.

Wyatt is the 5-year-old daughter of Kevin and Lacey Wyatt, and Cavanaugh is the 6-year-old son of Shane and Lyndsey Cavanaugh.

Wyatt enjoys gymnastics and participating in church programs. Her favorite sport is swimming.

Cavanaugh enjoys swimming, working with his dad and attending church. His favorite sport is riding his dirt bike and watching University of Kentucky basketball.
The couples were judged in interview, swimwear, and dress-wear, while interviews were completed off-stage prior to the event.

Kellie Miller served as pageant director, and Master of Ceremonies was Trish Noel. CPA Laura Fault kept score.

A special thank you was given to Catering & Creations and Mark of Distinction for sponsoring the pageant, Mark of Distinction for providing individual contestant flowers and stage décor, Kellie Cardwell Heady for providing the stage chandelier, the Hoover/McCoy Family at Dr. Pepper for providing drinks for the contestants and Country Cupboard for providing dinner to the pageant judges.

Judges were Kendell Armstrong, Jacklyn Pritchett and Brook Morrison.
