• The Hanson Christmas Parade is 11 a.m. today. Lineup will begin 10 a.m. at the Hanson Country Store. For more information, call the store at 270-322-8288, or 270-836-3183.

• A Christmas bazaar with food, arts and crafts along with gift ideas is starting noon today at Eastview Missionary Baptist Church, 159 E. North St. Madisonville. For more information, call Francis Phillips at 270-339-2399 or Donna Stafford at 270-875-2294.

• Holy Ghost Revival performs 7 p.m. today at Rita's Front Porch Gospel Jubilee, 335 Princeton St. in St. Charles. Admission is free, with love offerings accepted. Concessions also will be available. For more information, call 270-875-6249.

• Special singing with Southern Grace will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at Parkview United Methodist Church, 110 Hayes Ave. in Madisonville. Everyone is welcome.

• A holiday open house will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday in the Mahr home at Mahr Park. A naming recognition for the Mahr Park Library will be held at 2:30 p.m. with a dedication of the tree mural in the welcome center.

• Return to Bethlehem begins 5-8 p.m. today and continues 2-4 p.m. Sunday, and 5-8 p.m. Monday-Tuesday at First Baptist Church, 246 N. Main St., Madisonville.

• Cranor Community Church in St. Charles will hold a Christmas play, "Remember Me," at 3 p.m. Sunday.

• Madisonville Community Chorus will present "Handel's Messiah" 6 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church in Madisonville.

• Pride Elementary Site-Based Council will meet at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the school.

• Hopkins County Board of Education meets 5:30 p.m. Monday at Central Office, 320 S. Seminary St., Madisonville.

• Southside Elementary School Site-Based Council meets 4 p.m. Tuesday in the school's media center.

• Baptist Health Madisonville will hold a blood drive 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at Concord General Baptist Church.

• Owensboro Health will host an Open House of its new Healthplex 2-7 p.m., Wednesday that includes tours, meet and greet with providers, free refreshments and appetizers and gifts, 510 Ruby Drive, Madisonville.

• Baptist Health Madisonville will hold a blood drive 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday at Lion's Club Headquarters in Madisonville.

• Madisonville North Hopkins High School Marching Band will perform "A Gift to the Community" 7 p.m. Thursday at the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts.

• A houseplant care and propagation workshop will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hopkins County Extension Office, 75 Cornwall Drive. To RSVP, call 270-821-3650.

• An in person assister (for insurance questions and enrollment) is at the PACS Assistance Center each Wednesday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., 130 Branch St., Madisonville. For an appointment call 270-348-0477, walk-ins welcome.

• PACS Assistance Center is accepting monetary donations for their Teen Shopping Program. Monetary donations may be dropped off at 130 Branch St. or mailed to P.O. Box 427, Madisonville.

• PACS Assistance Center is accepting non-perishable food donations for their Christmas Basket Program. Donations may be dropped off at 130 Branch St., Madisonville.

• PACS is now able to offer more seniors in need of services in their homes. Services include home-delivered meals, homemaking services, personal care and respite. For qualifications and information, call 866-844-4396.

• A free meal is available every Wednesday night and on the second, third, and fourth Friday nights of every month at the Damascus Road House youth center 10 Nortonville Rd. Nortonville, Ky. Meals are for ages 2-18 and the meal time is from 5:30-6:45 each evening.

• Pride Elementary Site-Based Council meets 3:30 p.m. each second Monday at the school.

• West Hopkins SBDM will meet at 3 p.m. the last Monday each month in the WHS SBDM room, West Hopkins School.

• Earlington Elementary School Site-Based Decision-Making Council meets at 4:15 p.m., on the second Monday of the month at the school. Meetings move to the following Monday if there is no school that day.

• Hanson City Commission meets the last Tuesday each month at 6 p.m., Hanson City Hall, 30 Sunset Road, Hanson.

• Hope2All Food Bank is open every Tuesday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Food boxes are given out, 92 N. Main Street, Nortonville.

• Damascus Road House, 10 Nortonville Rd., Nortonville is open from 6-9 p.m. the second, third and fourth Friday each month. The Road House is a non-profit, non-denominational organization, open to area church youth groups and those ages 12-19.
• Hopkins County Bass Club meets the second Thursday each month at 6:30 p.m., Brothers BBQ, 1055 N. Main St., Madisonville.

• Hopkins County Senior Citizens Center hosts its regular monthly meeting of the Hopkins/Muhlenberg Elder Abuse Council at 9 a.m. the first Tuesday every month at the HC Senior Citizens Center, North Main St., Madisonville.

• Dance the Night Away at Pam’s Dance Barn, 35 Cedar Lane, Madisonville is every Saturday, 7-10 p.m. For information, call 270-836-4649.

• Hopkins County AARP meets the second Monday each month for a noon lunch at the Country Cupboard with a program at 1 p.m.

• Hopkins County Historical Society meets in the basement of the museum on 107 Union St. in Madisonville on the second Thursday every month at 6:30 p.m.

• Hopkins County Genealogy Society meets at the Judicial Center (old Post Office), 56 N. Main St., Madisonville, on the fourth Tuesday each month at 7 p.m.

• Nebo City Commission will meet the first Monday each month, unless a holiday, then the following Monday, 6 p.m. at the former Nebo School/Community Center.

• Madisonville Noon Kiwanis meets at noon every Friday, First United Methodist Church, Center Street, Madisonville.

• Calvary Temple Community is "Feeding the Hungry" every Sunday morning. Free breakfast is served from 9-9:30 a.m.
• Hopkins County Business and Professional Women's Club meets 6 p.m. the first Tuesday every month at Oak Ridge Retirement Center, 750 Dodson Lane in Madisonville.
