Cruz MPD 1 22MADISONVILLE, Ky. (1/22/18) — A 25-year-old Madisonville resident that allegedly pistol-whipped two others was arrested over the weekend. He was listed as being held in the county jail this evening on $10,000 cash bond.

Officers from Madisonville Police Department responded to Baptist Health regarding the assaults Jan. 13, according to reports. One unnamed victim had several injuries to the head caused by being struck with a handgun, and another person also claimed to be a victim by the hand of a man identified as Cruz Montez Bolton, also known as “Killa.”

Police caught up with Bolton during a traffic stop Friday at the intersection of West Lake and South Main streets. He was charged with two counts of second-degree assault, considered Class C felony crimes in Kentucky, according to state statute.

Cruz also faces several other charges including convicted felon in possession of a handgun, receiving stolen property (firearm), carrying a concealed weapon, possession of synthetic drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of failure to appear in court.
