Character 1MADISONVILE, Ky. (3/10/18) — Madisonville North Hopkins High School Key Club hosted its 5th Annual Character Breakfast for Relay for Life today.

Twenty-five beloved characters entertained hundreds at Hopkins County Career and Tech Center, with stories and songs. The characters also posed for photos and gave out autographs.

Proceeds raised will go to Key Club charities, the Eliminate Project sponsored by Kiwanis International and MNHHS Relay for Life.

Over the past four years of hosting the character breakfast, the Key Club has donated more than $5,000 to Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society.

Emcee Tori Howard said the fundraiser has captured the heart of the community and they never imagined five years ago of its continued success.

Howard recognized Country Cupboard and Phyllis, Matt and Alyssa Browning for catering the breakfast, principal of HCCTC Pam Todd for hosting the event and HCCTC staff for setup.

Howard said they hope the event was magical for all that attended.
