Kentucky Lottery Spokeswoman Jennifer Cunningham of Louisville Headquarters said Buchanan had won $500 earlier in the day on a $20 Kentucky Millions ticket. He later went to E-Z Shop No. 5 to play Kentucky Millions again and also decided to pick out a $10 Bluegrass Blowout ticket, while he was there.

Buchanan said he doesn’t normally play the Bluegrass Blowout ticket a lot, that he usually likes the $20 games.

He walked out of lottery headquarters with a check for $142,000, after taxes, Cunningham said, and plans to remodel his house with the winnings.
