muhl mustangs1 300ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (5/18/19) — Muhlenberg County claimed its fourth straight win on Friday, defeating host Elizabethtown 10-6 in a late-season high school baseball game.

With the win, Muhlenberg County improved to 11-18.

Elizabethtown slipped to 9-20 with the loss.

Caden Byars was the winning pitcher for the Mustangs. Byars surrendered two runs on five hits over three innings, striking out one.

Caleb Adams suffered the pitching loss for the Panthers. Adams allowed three hits and two runs over two innings, striking out two.

Muhlenberg County outhit Elizabethtown 13-8. Noah Phillips homered for the Mustangs in the first inning. Phillips, Nolan Davis, Bronzyn Healy and Ryan O'Neal each collected multiple hits for the Mustangs. Davis led Muhlenberg County at the plate, finishing 4-for-4.

Brandon Parsons went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Elizabethtown in the hits column.
