UPDATE: CINCINNATI, Ohio (10/10/17) — The family of the late Andretta Dear, 28 of Cincinnati, Ohio is hoping to raise funds to help with her funeral expenses and to get Andretta's children set up in their new home.

andretta dearAndretta was pronounced dead at the scene Friday after her vehicle rolled over several times at the 50 mile marker on the Western Kentucky Parkway in Muhlenberg County. The vehicle was also occupied by four juveniles, who were injured. Three of the children were Andretta's and the fourth juvenile was not related but was a neighbor, said the boys' grandmother.

According to Andretta's mother, Anjanatte Dear of Cincinnati, Mason, 7, and Antonio, 10, are out of the hospital while Anthony, 12, remains in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee and is likely facing a long recovery.

UPDATE: CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (10/6/17) — A driver was killed and her four juvenile passengers injured during a rollover collision at the 50 mile marker westbound of the Western Kentucky Parkway today.

Kentucky State Police say the vehicle left the road for unknown reasons at approximately 12:26 p.m. The driver, Andretta Dear, age unknown of Cincinnati, Ohio, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Muhlenberg County Coroner.

Two of the four injured juveniles were flown by air ambulance to Vanderbilt Medical Center, Nashville, Tennessee. The two other children were transported by Muhlenberg County EMS to Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital.

Both eastbound and westbound lanes were closed to accommodate emergency responders. The lanes are now open.

KSP said more information will be released as the investigation continues.

UPDATE: MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (10/6/17) — At 1:39 p.m., wrecker crews were working to remove the car from the median. The vehicle was on its top.

Multiple patients were being transferred via Muhlenberg EMS, PHI and Air Evac medical helicopters.

ORIGINAL STORY:

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (10/6/17) — Traffic going east to west along the Western Kentucky Parkway is gridlocked, while first responders attend to a serious single-vehicle crash near the Graham Exit.

Medical helicopters and emergency vehicles were responding to treat four victims involved in the rollover crash that happened about 12:45 p.m. today, Central Dispatch indicated.

The vehicle is in the median around mile-marker 50.
