drug arrests1 300DRAKESBORO, Ky. (2/12/18) — The driver of vehicle stopped in Drakesboro Friday evening was charged with drug possession after being taken to the hospital due to his level of intoxication.

Kentucky State Police Trooper Curtis Crick reported stopping a 2002 Ford Explorer for having an obstructed windshield on U.S. 431 in Drakesboro. Crick believed the driver, Joshua Martin, 35 of Drakesboro was under the influence and police discovered two bags of what appeared to be methamphetamine or synthetic drugs in the vehicle.

A passenger in the vehicle, Katherine Coxton, 46 of Drakesboro was also under the influence and had drug paraphernalia and various pills, said police.

Martin was admitted to Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital and cited with obstructed vision and/or windshield, DUI – first offense, first-degree possession of a controlled substance/meth – first offense, drug paraphernalia and possession of synthetic drugs – first offense.

croxtonCroxton was charged with third-degree possession of a controlled substance/drug unspecified, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess and public intoxication/controlled substance excludes alcohol. She is being held in the Muhlenberg Detention Center.
