fitzhughUPDATE: GREENVILLE, Ky. (3/30/19) — The missing Greenville girl that has been the focus of multiple police and tracker searches has been located and returned safely home to her parents, police said early this morning.

Greenville Police Department issued a press release shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday saying that Jenna Gabrielle Fitzhugh, who has been the subject of a search by multiple agencies, is safely home.

Details of where the 15-year-old has been since reported missing by her family March 27, were not provided by police.

GPD said her whereabouts over the past few days is still under investigation and promised more information will be released as the investigation continues.

A candlelight vigil was held last night on the steps of the Muhlenberg County Courthouse as family, friends, fellow Muhlenberg County High School students and members of the community sang songs of hope, held up signs of support and prayed.

Red ribbons adorned the doors of many businesses and homes Friday as signs of a community united in wanting to find Jenna and see her safely home.

UPDATE: GREENVILLE, Ky. (3/29/19) —Greenville Police Department said today that no credible leads have been found although multiple agencies are continuing the investigation into the disappearance of a Greenville teenager.

GPD said Jenna Gabrielle Fitzhugh, 15, left her residence on foot during the night of March 26 leaving her cell phone and a suicide note. She was last seen around 9 p.m., when everyone went to bed. She was noticed missing the next morning when it was time to go to school.

Several search crews began immediately after she was reported missing the morning of March 27 including Green River Correctional K9 teams that followed the teen's trail from her home to the intersection of Fox Drive and Walters Trace, where the trail ended. The Jodi Powers Search and Rescue Team is continuing to search.

GPD is working with several local police agencies and has consulted the Federal Bureau of Investigations. The agency is still asking anyone with information to step forward.

GPD and Kentucky State Police have been searching Jenna's cell phone and social media accounts for information that might help with the investigation.

Other agencies assisting the investigation include Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department, Central City and Powderly police departments, Greenville Fire Department, Muhlenberg Emergency Management and Government Tracker David Everhart.

There will be a candlelight vigil in front of the Muhlenberg County Courthouse at 7:30 tonight.

UPDATE: GREENVILLE, Ky. (3/28/19) — Police, school officials and the family and friends of 15-year-old Jenna Fitzhugh are continuing the search, which began after she went missing and a suicide note and her phone were discovered at her Fox Drive, Greenville home.

Information disseminated by police in a "be on the lookout" alert included information about the note and phone and Greenville Police Department confirmed the information.

Family and friends have shared the story of the missing teenager by the thousands spanning much of Kentucky and into other states. As of 2 p.m. today, no new leads on Jenna's whereabouts have been discovered, said GPD spokesman Wes Miller.

GPD issued a plea for information Wednesday morning after the teen was reported missing.

Anyone with information that might help authorities is asked to call GPD at (270) 338-3133, Central Dispatch at (270) 338-2000 or any law enforcement agency.

She is described as being 5-foot-5-inches tall, weighing 124 pounds with strawberry blond hair. She was last seen March 26 at her residence on Fox Drive.
