ohio co arrestOHIO COUNTY, Ky. (4/16/19) — An Ohio County Sheriff's Office investigation led to an Owensboro man being charged with drug trafficking within 1,000 feet of a school Saturday morning in Hartford.

OCSO said detectives conducted a controlled buy around 10 a.m. April 13 in the 300 block of Frederica Street, Hartford. When the transaction took place, deputies, Hartford Police Department and Kentucky State Police surrounded the suspect vehicle and took 32-year-old David Burk into custody.

Burk was charged with three counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance/anabolic steroid - first offense, two counts of drug paraphernalia - buy/possess and trafficking within 1,000 feet of a school.

Burk was transported to Ohio County Detention Center but is no longer listed on the inmate roster as of this publication.
