CADIZ, Ky. — The fitness center at Lake Barkley State Resort Park will be open and will waive its admission fee on Saturday, Jan. 3, as it takes part in the "World's Largest Simultaneous Group Workout."

Guests are invited to kick off their New Year's resolutions by trying out the new treadmills at Lake Barkley's fitness center and learn more about what it offers.

The workout is part of an international world record effort to get people moving in 2015 sponsored by ViSalus, a nutrition company. The company will donate 30 meals to PROJECT 10 Kids, an initiative to fight obesity, for every participant.

Participants should sign in starting at 11:15 a.m. and the workout will begin at noon. It will last approximately one hour.

The fitness center of Lake Barkley is complete with Nautilus machines, fitness bikes, free weight room, lever tools, aerobics room, racquetball court, sauna, wet-steam room, whirlpool and enclosed indoor wellness pool.
